Key Stage 3 Curriculum at EAP (Ealing Alternative Provision)
At Ealing Alternative Provision (EAP), we offer a dynamic and flexible Key Stage 3 curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of every student. All students attend school on-site for five days a week, ensuring a consistent and supportive learning environment.
Our curriculum is structured across five distinct pathways: Opal, Sapphire, Ruby 1, Ruby 2, and Platinum. These pathways are bespoke and fluid, tailored to each student’s learning needs, interests, and strengths. This flexibility allows us to adapt our approach to ensure every student receives the support and challenge required for their personal academic and social development.
Core Subjects: All students at EAP study the following core subjects:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- PSHE (Personal, Social, and Health Education)
- Humanities
- Enrichment
In addition to these core subjects, we offer a range of additional subjects to further enrich the educational experience of our students, depending on their individual pathway:
- Art
- Food
- PE (Physical Education)
- Circle Time
Our pathways are designed to be fluid, ensuring that as students progress, they can move between different subjects or pathways to best suit their evolving needs. This bespoke curriculum approach allows us to provide each student with the necessary resources, support, and opportunities to thrive both academically and personally.
At EAP, we are committed to ensuring every student receives a well-rounded, individualised education that prepares them for their future while fostering their personal growth and well-being.
We are also excited to introduce our new "Acorn" Program, an additional layer of support that builds on our existing curriculum. This program allows us to further individualise each student’s learning experience by providing a range of small group or one-to-one activities. The Acorn Program offers tailored interventions in Maths, English, and Science, as well as counseling, mentoring, ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support), and safeguarding/wellbeing check-ins. Students can also benefit from Forest School, Outdoor Learning, and a variety of Social Care Interventions to support their emotional and social development. Additionally, we provide EAL (English as an Additional Language) interventions to ensure all students have the language support they need to thrive. Through the Acorn Program, we aim to provide a holistic approach to each student's education, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.

Key Stage 4 Curriculum
Key Stage 4 Curriculum
At Ealing Alternative Provision (EAP), our Key Stage 4 curriculum is designed to offer a bespoke, flexible, and diverse learning experience that meets the individual needs and aspirations of every student. In Year 10, we provide six distinct pathways: Opal, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Plat, and Diamond. Each pathway is tailored to offer a blend of academic, vocational, and enrichment activities, allowing students to access a curriculum that best supports their learning and future goals.
The pathways range from students attending five days on-site to two days on-site, ensuring a personalised timetable that reflects each student’s strengths, interests, and needs. All students study English and Maths, with the majority also taking Science. We also offer a range of additional subjects, including PE, Art, Film, Sport, Business Studies, English Literature, PSHE, Careers, and Enrichment.
On average, students will be entered for at least seven GCSE-level qualifications, providing them with a strong academic foundation. For those students who are off-site, we offer our bespoke Alternative Curriculum Program, which includes a variety of vocational courses such as Hair, Beauty and Barbering, Let Me Play (LMP) – a sports-focused course, Mechanics, and Carpentry BUILD. These opportunities help students develop practical skills and qualifications that can enhance their future career prospects.
As with our Key Stage 3 Curriculum, we are also excited to introduce our new "Acorn" Program, an additional layer of support that builds on our existing curriculum. This program allows us to further individualise each student’s learning experience by providing a range of small group or one-to-one activities.
